So let me tell you about my recent trip to Cavtat.
With Jet2 doing direct flights from Newcastle, it was easy peasy. The flight took off at 0630 and landed at 1030 local time, I was in the hotel by 1100 and out exploring by 1115. Which meant I had the whole day to get to know the area.
Stay
I stayed at Hotel Croatia, which was the perfect location. You can walk to Cavtat in less than 5 minutes, it will keep you fit getting to and from the hotel.
Eat & Drink
Superstar Restaurant
A delicious veggie restaurant (but there were a few meat options). The food was so good. The menu was amazing, since giving up meat over 3 years ago I've often found it hard to find restaurants in Europe that are veggie friendly. So it was so refreshing that the whole menu was suitable for me.
Bugenvila
The most amazing waterside restaurant. The food was divine. We tired to get in the first night but it was fully booked, therefore I booked for the following night. And it did not disappoint. Again, Bugenvila had a whole menu dedicated for veggies and vegans. If you're going order the Pasta Paccheri with truffles and thank me after.
Beach bar Little Star
This was a little gem and how I found this was some sort of miracle. Thanks to Nat, one of my insta followers for sending me there. Cool music, great views and a cocktail list as long as my arm, I loved it there and really didn't want to leave.
My top tip would be take trainers, I didn't and regretted in massively. Make sure all your shoes are comfy and it did get cold on a night.
I absolutely loved my 3 days there, it was the perfect mini break and I would really recommend it to anyone. Perfect for families or couples, there was so many amazing adventures to go on.
Come back on Wednesday to see what I got up to in Dubrovnik.
