5 Reasons to Visit Valencia

Valencia is without a doubt my favourite city break, I've been 3 times now and every time I go I discover something new.

Valencia is one of Spain's oldest cities, dating back over 2,000 years making it one of the most beautiful cities to go too.

The Food, with so many tiny streets littered with amazing tapas places it is my favourite place to go for some good grub. Valencia is also where pealla was born the most famous dish to leave Spain. Eating and drinking was fairly cheap. You could get a really good glass of white wine for around €4.

The Beach, if you want the best of a city break and a beach holiday there is no where better than Valencia. The beach is surrounded by bars and restaurants, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The Culture, Valencia has the most stunning old town right in the city centre with lots of winding streets. It the perfect place to get lost for an hour or two and soak up all the atmosphere.

The Weather, with an average of 300 sunny days a year you're almost guaranteed sunshine which makes exploring a new city much more enjoyable.

The Marathon, of course I was going to mention the marathon. The marathon in Valencia was the best organised event I have ever taken part in. Everything about the event was great, the route, the support, the refreshments. If you're looking to take part in a city marathon I 100% recommend Valencia. You can read more about my experience here

I hope this post has inspired you to think of taking a trip to Valencia.
