Winter Warmers at Silverlink Shopping Park

We are right bang in the middle of winter and if the recent cold snap is anything to go by we're in the thick of it.

On Sunday Matty and I had a christening to attend and I had nothing to wear. Or at least nothing I felt was weather and church appropriate.

Outfit is one of my favourite shops as Topshop, Wallis, Miss Selfrige, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Oasis and Warehouse are all under one roof. If I was going to get something to wear for the Christening, it was going to be here.

As Silverlink Shopping Park is open till 19:30 on Saturday's we made our way up there for a little retail therapy. There is over 20 retailers, Argos, Currys PC World, H&M, Mothercare, River Island, Next, Wilko along with a huge Marks and Spencer. There is also an Odeon, Nandos and Pizza Hut making it the perfect day out for a little bit of shopping and entertainment and with free parking you can stay as long as you like.

Whenever I go shopping I like to have a recce, take in the new season trends and work out what pieces I'll be able to rework within my wardrobe.

So with Matty following me holding on to all the clothes I'd chosen to try on, I went on the hunt.

I fell in love with this Claire clutch bag from Topshop £20

This Topshop spot pleated dress £49 reminded me of Kate Middleton, but it was a size too small for me.

Remember this snake skin dress? Well of course this dress caught my eye but as they only had a size 14 in stock. Topshop also have the matching skirt £39.

This Miss Selfridge £42 jumpsuit is something I would class as 'not my style' but I actually quite liked it.

Here is what I wore for the christening.

I fell in love with this green clutch bag as soon as I saw it and I knew it would go with so many outfits.

This skirt, it may look leopard print but it's actually giraffe. As I love any kind of animal print and it's going to be bing for S/S19 I thought there were so many different opportunities to wear it.

The headband, now this is a little out of my comfort zone and it's green. I went to a school that had a green uniform and I'd have to wear a green headband. I swore I'd never wear the colour again.

I'm over the cold weather now, roll on Spring!!
