Three Best Pizza's In The North East

I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but I'm somewhat of a pizza connoisseur.  If I had to choose a last meal (let's hope it never comes to that) it would be pizza, with a side of garlic dip and a diet coke. Who am I kidding, it would be a glass of ice cold champagne. That is my perfect meal.

As a self proclaimed connoisseur, I thought it was about time that I told you about the three best pizza places in the North East. If you love pizza, you really must try these three out.

I'm a simple girl that likes her pizza basic, a good base, cheese, tomato and maybe some basil and olive oil with nothing else added. With that in mind, here are my three top picks!

Cals Own - Jesmond

If I had to review Cal's Own in one word it would be 'incredible' and is a must go for any pizza lover. They aren't the cheapest, but they are most certainly worth every penny.

Whenever I go to Cal's Own I always get one of their garlic dips. It's a taste sensation when you dip your pizza crust in the sauce!

Find Cal's Own at 1-2 Holly Av. West, Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 2AR

Log Fire Pizza Truck - Wherever the truck is parked

I often stalk Log Fire Pizza's Facebook page waiting for them to announce where they are parked and that the fire is cooking mouthwatering pizza.

If you're heading for a Log Fire Pizza, make sure you check on their facebook page where they are based, and that they still have pizza in stock! I know from experience the heartache when you get to the van and it's all sold out!

Central Oven & Shaker - Newcastle

If you're in Newcastle craving pizza, Central Oven & Shaker is the place you have to go!

Central Oven & Shaker's pizza is probably the best in Newcastle city centre. Cooked in record time (I've been pre Newcastle match with around 40 mins to spare and they managed to knock out an incredible pizza). The pizza is also reasonably priced, starting from £8.

Find Central Oven & Shaker  8 Neville St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5EN

It always amuses me when people of the North East tell me they love pizza, yet they've never eaten pizza from any of the places above, because you really haven't eaten pizza like it!

I'd love to hear where you like to eat pizza, and if there is anywhere else I should try, please let me know!
