The January Round Up

Heres my first round up of the year, let's begin.

January, the longest month of the year is finally in it's last day and I honestly can't wait to see the back of it. 


I ran my first half marathon of the year - Brass Monkey at York racecourse.  I didn't PB, in fact I was only off by a few seconds which to be honest as I hadn't trained as much as I'd have liked too I was pretty happy with my time. 

This month also saw me run 3 new parkrun's, Albert park, Stewart Park and Newbigging by the Sea. My new years resolution is to run as many different parkruns as I can. Granted the first two were done on NYD but I'm still off to a great start! 

I also did my first yoga class, which I loved and surprised me. I usually like high
intensity classes that make you sweat! But yoga really relaxed me and got me stretching and gave me chance to chill out for a full hour! 


My new obsession is podcasts! I love anything factual, I feel if you're going to listen to something you might as well make it educational. My favourite that I've been listening to is Criminal.  A podcast about people who've done wrong, been wronged or got caught up somewhere in the middle. They are short episodes and I find absolutely fascinating. 


It is my job dream to be a TV presenter (a news reader to be precise) and filming Youtube videos gives me a little glimpse into my dream. I haven't had a great deal of time to film loads but hopefully start as I mean to go on! I've got a lot more planned coming your way so make sure you're subscribed to my channel to ensure you don't miss any!

If you keep up to date on my instagram you'll have seen that our new sofa arrived in the dining room along with our new furniture. The house is coming together perfectly! 

My Highlight of the Month 

Well of course this has to be that Matty came home from work. He'd been away since mid November so it was lovely to see him last Saturday. 

Plans for February

Venture into the gym. I really want to become more of a stronger runner and I know the only way to do that is by lifting weights. So my plan for February is to start off with little steps and go into the gym at least once a week!
