OAK Restaurant Garden & Grill - Marbella

Restaurants in Marbella come and go all the time. One summer there'll be a new place to go to with good food, great music and then next summer they disappear.

The new place in town this year will I can trust will be there next year.

OAK is part of the Sala group and right next to the busy restaurant La Sala. Parking is easy, just drop your car with the valet. If you remember on my snapchat (katiejaneonline) from Monday night, I was on the back of a golf buggy with my Mam they were taking us to collect our car. Brilliant service and it was all free although I do think you should maybe tip the driver.

As soon as I walked into Oak, I recognised our waiter Naff and the head chef from 'over the road' at La Sala.

OAK is a Garden style restaurant with a huge tree situated in the middle of the restaurant.

We were seated at a round table - which I'm sure you know by now I do love a round table. It gives you a chance to talk to the whole party not just those around you.

The menu was uber cool and made to look like a piece of OAK.

We nibbled on olives and bread while we were choosing what to have to eat.

We opted for no starters and just stuck to main courses.

Then we sat back and drank our wine and waited for our food to arrive.

Mam, Emily and I ordered the burger.

Which came with a side order of chips and onion rings.

Dad had lamb chops - don't worry there was mint sauce on the side as well as a jacket potato.

Clare ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad but received the OAK barbequed boneless half chicken with a jacket potato.

It may have been the wrong order but Clare really enjoyed her meal.

And there was some creamed spinach for the table.

The food was spectacular. Really delicious - apart from the chips they weren't that good.

We rounded off the evening with a sweet treat. Sala signature sundae.

Sticky toffee sponge layered with caramelised banana with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Honestly it was delicious. We shared one between 5 I really wish we ordered another one for the table.

The price of the food was fairly reasonable, you do pay a little more the closer to Puerto Banus you get something to bear in mind. My favourite restaurant down in Marbella still is and always will be Los Farolillos, but OAK might just become a close second.

Summer is here and I can't imagine getting a table in OAK without booking. Call them on the La Sala booking line on 0034 952 814 145. Their booking line is quite tedious, and actually really annoyed me. We didn't get a chance to book a bed at La Sala by the sea this year due to the poor telephone system.
