Moments From A Hen Do In Liverpool

I haven't spent much time in the North East recently - besides going to work I've been to Edinburgh, London and Liverpool within the last few weeks. I love going to new places in the UK.

Liverpool is some where I've never been before and until Amy's Hen do I had no desire to go but I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back!

Where to stay
We stayed at The Shankly hotel. Our room slept 9 people. It was like a dorm room - but a rather fancy one. The only downside was there was one bathroom and one toilet between 9 of us. The hotel had a party atmosphere.

Where to eat
This first night we ate at Gusto's at the Albert Dock. We book a private room. The room, the waiter and the food was great. I got my favourite crab and chili pasta.
For lunch on Saturday Emily and I went to Jamie's  Italian in Liverpool One shopping centre - they seem to be pretty much in every city centre now. Food is always pretty good. We did have a short wait for a table.
On Sunday we went to Alma de Cuba for a good old Sunday lunch. I'm going to do a blog post on the food there. All you need to know it was amazing!

And if all else fails you can rely on some good old cheesy chips and garlic sauce.

Where to get pampered
Saturday morning saw us make our way to Maya Blue spa within the Titanic hotel. The underground spa was exclusively ours for 2 hours. It was pure bliss. I also had a pedicure.

Now I saw at least 10 girls walking around with rollers in their hair on Saturday afternoon - I needed to up my hair game. I booked Emily and I for a blow dry at the Beauty Bazaar with Show. I would 100% recommend you do this if you're visiting Liverpool. The ladies dress up to the 9s for a night out, you don't want to feel left out. There was also make up from all kinds of brands such as MAC and Tom Ford, you could also get your nails done from Nails Inc.

To book at the Beauty Bazaar call 0303 123 7014.

What to do
We booked into Revolution Bar for some cocktail making. The cocktails were good but the guy teaching us looked like he'd rather be anywhere else than with us. Which was a shame. We'd done cocktail making before as a group which was amazing but Revolution was a bit of a let down.

As we were on a hen do we did spend the majority of our time in the bars. Which were great. I can't really remember all the names on the places we went too but I'm pretty sure you're guaranteed a good night out anywhere in Liverpool.

My top tip if you're going to Liverpool is use Delta Taxis. They're were extremely cheap and we didn't wait more than a couple of minutes for a taxi save this number to your phone 0151 922 7373.
I loved Liverpool and I really want to go back. If you have any suggestions on places to go please let me know in the comments.
