After Christmas shopping we made our way from Fenwicks down the to the cold and windy quayside and had a warm welcome inside Gusto.
We were seated straight away and we put in our order of tomato garlic bread.
Browsing the menu and waiting for R.
By the time R arrived we ate all the garlic bread. It was far too good to leave any so he had to settle with a bottle of Peroni as his starter.
I ordered the tagliatelle with prawns and garlic. Which also came with chilli tomatoes, rocket and some fresh lime.
My pasta was so good and I think it's my new favourite on the menu!!
R ordered the tagliatelle arrabbiata with extra spice.
However R isn't a massive fan of tagliatelle so he switch it for rigatoni.
Mam also switched her spaghetti for rigatoni. Which she had with lobster and prawns in a tomato sauce. With a little extra parmesan.
Which we washed down with a bottle of ca'di late Sauvignon blanc.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our main courses and I left some room for my all time favourite pudding.
The nutella and mascarpone calzone! Honestly you have to try this! I just can't tell you how good it is.
I managed to convince Mam to try the banana and salted caramel meringue as it looked so good when I came to Gusto to sample the Autumn menu with Chloe.
I managed to steal a little bite and it was so good in fact next time I go I think I might have to have 2 puddings!
As we couldn't manage all of our pasta I asked our lovely waiter to box it up and we gave it to a homeless person. This is something I do regularly when I have left over food and 9 times out of 10 the person receiving the food is so grateful.
Have you tried Gusto yet? I love the food there so much I want to go back next week!!
