Boozy Sunday Lunch At The Botanist - Newcastle

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas? I'm back on the blogging game now and had a nice break.

Just before Christmas R and I wanted a little Christmas treat. So I booked a table on Sunday at The Botanist Monument Mall in Newcastle.

I got there first and had a little browse through the menu ordering a cocktail and the humous board.

My Cherry and sage sling quickly arrived and went down a little too well so I was glad that the humous board followed.

The homemade houmous was very garlicky which I absolutely loved, with carrot, cucumber sticks and bread.

R arrived just after the houmous board.

R ordered a Bloody Mary which I think was more a hare of the dog than anything else. He likes his Bloody Mary extra spicy, way to spicy for my liking. But Bloody Mary's are defiantly starting to grow on me.

As it's Christmas R ordered the Turkey from the Christmas menu. Which you can read my blog post here.

Which came with seasonal vegetables and the best roast potatoes ever.

I ordered the beef which I asked for it pink. Sadly it was more well done than pink.

We ordered a bottle of Champagne too, it's Christmas after all.

We had a lovely meal the perfect start to the Christmas festivities.

Did you have a nice Christmas? What are you doing for New Years Eve? I think I'm going to have a quiet one.
