It was Newcastle restaurant week and Fat Hippo had 2 course's on for £10. It would be a shame to let an offer like that to go to waste so of course we went along.
I did opt for a different burger this time. My last Fat Hippo Underground trip is over here. I ordered the Texas.
Double patty topped with streaky bacon, cheese, onion rings and BBQ sauce with a side of hand cut chips.
R got the Southern discomfort.
Double patty topped with cheese, bacon, garlic mayo with holy hot sauce. With a side of hand cut chips.
B had the classic American.
Double patty topped with cheese, gherkins, ketchup and American mustard with some sweet potato fires.
B's sweet potato fries were so tasty. I did wish I ordered them too.
Now I really didn't eat much all day last Thursday so I could really enjoy 2 course's at Fat Hippo. So time for the puddings.
R and I had the discussion where he would get 1 desert and I'd get another and we'd swap half way thought.
That didn't happen. We got a spoon full of each others.
I ordered the warm tripple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream with salted caramel sauce.
So gooey and chocolatey and the salted caramel sauce was amazing. But I was completely full half way through and had to give up.
R got the Belgium waffle with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce.
The mouthful I did get tasted so good and R ate the lot.
B (was pretty boring in my option) ordered the lemon sorbet.
Which he said was incredibly refreshing.
Another great night had a the Fat Hippo underground. Next time I really want to try their PB & J burger. But I just can't get my mind around having peanut butter in a burger. Have you had it before?
