Santorini Day Two

We started the day with the best intentions.

But they didn't end that way.

R and I started the day with a walk down Karmari strip.

It's right next to the beach and there are lot's of beach bars, restaurant and souvenir shops all the way along.

We walked all the way to the bottom which burnt a good half an hour.

Then decided to head back and figure out what to do for the rest of the day.

Then L rang and said they were off to the beach for the day and we could tag along too.
Great idea. We were already there so we went to find them.
Walking into the Navy bar beach we saw the sign outside that said Champagne and strawberries €5.
An offer that good I don't need to be told twice.

We arrived at 10 am and had an extremely short debated if it was too early to start drinking. Well as you can see from the photo above the debated lasted around 30 seconds and the waiter brought over our first drinks right away.

Laying on the sun beds sipping on the fizz talking about Durham/Newcastle what's been going on at work, where would be good to go out for dinner when we're home and on that note our tummies had made their mind up they were hungry now.

Obviously the champagne soaked strawberries weren't enough to fill our tummies. The hunt for the food began.

We stumbled across a kebab take away that did amazing salads.

I'm really not a salad girl but considering I was in Greece I thought I should really try a Greek salad at least once. (But I ordered a side order of chips just in case I didn't like it)

I am now a salad convert. It was so fresh and tasted so good.

The champagne was still flowing well into the afternoon when it was time for my afternoon snooze.

When I awoke it was 6pm and the beach was slowly empting. We had one more drink for the road.

Leaving the beach at 7pm we lost count how many glasses of fizz we had. I think it's incredibly rude to count drinks after 7 so we know it was more than that.

Making our way back to the hotel to get changed for the evening, we decided to head to Fria. Somewhere I had never heard off.

This view took my breath away.

Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?

Standing on the balcony of the bar we were in I felt so lucky to be seeing the view. It really made me feel so alive.

My favourite photo of the holiday.

It was pretty late and I was starving. L had been told by 3 different people that Argo was the place to go.

If you go to Fira book a table! We were so lucky to get one.

The view from the restaurant was so pretty but it was about 11pm and so dark I couldn't get a good photo.

After the meal our other friends arrived and we headed out for a nightcap.

Crystals bar is where you want to go in Fira. Music was relaxing and the vibe was so chilled.

We only stayed for one drink which was probably for the best.

Did you know there are only 39 taxis on the island? Well luckily for us everyone seemed to be in bed by the time we left Crystal's bar and there were 4 in the taxi rank. Which is apparently unheard off.

I'm back at work today. So no more fizz before lunch time for a while. (Thank goodness)

Have you been to Santorini before? Greece left the Europe yesterday it wouldn't spot me going back.

Santorini Day Two.
