Help Me...Beauty Products

Here's the thing. Do you ever have a problem that occurs and none of your routine skincare will help you out?

Well I now have that problem.

I have the strangest of problems that happen on my shoulders that runs down to the tops of my arms. My skin becomes all scaly and feels a little bit like a snakes skin. It itches, looks red and genuinely feels awful. I  have no idea why this happens as it sometimes rears it's ugliness when I'm on holiday too so I can't put it down to the weather.

Biafine is something I picked up early last year in France. I was over there with work and showed my French pharmacy list to my French colleague and he laughed when he read this was on it. He didn't understand why I couldn't just use an alternative that I could get in the UK. Now it doesn't clear the problem but it does stop the itchiness and sooths my arm.
The next problem, is my lips. They're are chapped, dry and flaky. I love Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. (I'm sure you're sick of hear it by now) but sometimes I just need a little step up. So I've been using Nuxe again a French pharmacy pick up. The thick yellow balm smells like lemon curd and sinks straight into my lips. After using this for a few days my lips are back to normal.

What are your help me products?

  1. Hi Katie! Maybe try a natural lip balm...I've had such a bad problem with super chapped lips recently, but the one from Willow Tree Minerals (a small brand on etsy) has really helped me out (contains only natural ingredients(! I think sometimes lip balms actually dry lips out and make it a viscous cycle. I've reviewed it on my blog. xxx

  2. The Nuxe reve de miel has been in my handbag for the past several months and I am near the end of it now. It just works so well at hyrdating my lips and keeping them in top condition that I have totally stopped using my other balms I used to reach for.
