Mother's Day at Dalton Park

Mother's day is this Sunday, I always find Mothering Sunday creeps up on you out of no where and BANG you need to make sure you have your card and gift sorted for the mother figure in your life.

However fear not people of the North East, I have an alternative idea for you, how about giving the gift of a shopping trip? Giving the gift of a memory holds so much more value in my opinion.

Shopping At Dalton Park

There are some real bargains to be had a Dalton Park that goes without saying. My favourite shops to look in are, Next, Gap, Radley London and Marks & Spencer's. The clothes are usually heavily discounted and still very much in season.

If you're into cooking or baking there are two cookware shops at Dalton Park which my Mam always likes a look around these kinds of shops as there's always a new gadget for her to look at.

My Mam enjoyed having a look in Kurt Muller and got two lovely tops for the Summer.

On Mother's Day Dalton Park will be giving out plants to all the mothers that are there, which I think will be a nice treat.

Pizza Express At Dalton Park

Taking my Mam out for a dinner is always a nice treat as she is the only one at home who does the cooking and I don't have to do the washing up!

I'd book at table at Pizza Express which is right next to the shops so we didn't have to walk far.

Mam and I were given the Al la carte menu and the set menu which for 3 courses was £12.95 Monday to Friday.

We both ordered from the set menu as mine and Mam's favourite starter was there, Buffalo mozzarella, tomato and fresh pesto salad. The mozzarella was rich, creamy and absolutely delicious!

For main course Mam went for a healthy twist on a pizza, a classic size pizza with a hole in the middle where there is salad. Leggera Pollo Astra which is chicken, light mozzarella, sweet peppadew peppers, tomato, Cajun spices, garlic oil and red onion.

I went for something I'd never had before, Soho 65, mozzarella, tomato, black olives, buffalo mozzarella, garlic oil, rocket leaves and shaved Gran Milano cheese. There was an extra £1.80 to the set menu.

I was pretty happy that the pizza I couldn't finish I was able to take home which Matty ate for his tea as I was saving room for pudding.

Mam tucked into the honeycomb cheese cake which she was going to take half home for my Dad, until she cleaned her plate claiming it was too good not to finish!

Of course I went for the chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream which is my goto pudding when I'm at Pizza Express because it tastes so good!

If you're taking your Mother to Dalton Park on Sunday here is Pizza Express' menu in case you start feeling hungry.

Check out my vlog from last weekend to see what I bought in Radley London - it was a complete bargain. And if you like watching Youtube videos I'd be extremely grateful if you subscribed while you were there.

Mother's Day at Dalton Park

*Thank you to Dalton Park who kindly provided my Mam with a gift voucher so she could treat herself and kindly provided dinner for our trip. As always my opinions remain honest and my own.
