Lunch at La Sala by the Sea - Marbella

Trying to escape the Marbella heat last Wednesday my sister, her boyfriend Tom and I headed down to La Sala by the sea for some lunch.

I have wrote a lot about La Sala on here but I do really love the food.

I did take a gamble and didn't make a reservation as the height of summer is over and I was fairly confident that it wouldn't be too busy, although the summer tunes were still playing and people were still lounging on the sun beds there were plenty of tables available for lunch.

The menu hasn't changed much over the years so I had a good idea of what I was going to order.

As all good luncheons should do, we started off with wine and cocktails.

Tom went for a Long Island ice tea €14.00. Perfect for sipping in the mid day sun.

I went for my old favourite, a glass of white wine €6.95.

Emily went for the classic, grilled Chicken satay €19.75 served with a selection of Thai dipping sauces with a side of rice. I did dip my chips into the extra peanut sauce and it tasted lush.

Tom went for a Thai chicken salad €21.00, which was served in huge lettuce leaves that looked pretty cool.

As I had eaten a big breakfast I went for a starter, Thai prawn cakes, €15.00 prawns and Thai herbs with a crispy coating served with a delicious selection of Thai dipping sauces. They were so tasty, I didn't want to share them so I was pretty pleased when nobody wanted to try them.

And for the table we ordered a portion of chips €5, I don't think a meal is complete without of this side dish.

While we were eating our dinner Emily finally decided what cocktail she wanted to order.

A classic Porn Star Martini €12.50 I got to drink her shot of Cava too.

La Sala by the Sea is most certainly somewhere I would put down on your list of places to visit while in Marbella. Sadly I don't think I'll get another trip down to the Costa Del Sol this year so if you have any recommendations for me to try next year I'd love to know.

So long Marbella, I miss you so much.
