Festival On The Wall 2017

UPDATE: Festival on the wall has now been cancelled 28/03/17. All information was correct at the date of publishing.

Unless you've been living under a rock you'll know that there is something super exciting heading to Northumberland in August.

Festival On The Wall

My sister and I are super excited. Emily is my Festival companion and we've been to quite a few together and we've always had the BEST time and Festival on The Wall looks like it's going to deliver!

The line up for Festival on the wall looks amazing.

I'm super looking forward to seeing The Libertines. I first saw them at Leeds festival back in 2010 and they have a song called 'What Katie Did'. (Which I almost called my blog!)

Newcastle's very own Maximo Park are also performing. I first saw these guys back in 2006 (may have been longer this was before Facebook was a common tool to keep a dairy of where you'd been!) when they performed at Freevolution that was held on the Quayside in Gateshead. I remember getting the train home back to Durham in a carriage full of people still singing the songs!

Mark Ronson is also doing a set! I am so thrilled that he will be preforming too!

Of course a festival isn't all about the music. It's also about the food! FOTW will have all the best food that Northumberland has to offer.

There will also be a cinema, 1980's roller disco, karavanoke (karaoke in a caravan!), a hot tub area and so much more which you can find here

There is also a VIP area which is what I have my eye on. I have been to a lot of festivals but I've never actually camped at one.  I have always stayed at a near by hotel, however the VIP tickets look right up my street.

Late-Night VIP bar access, VIP bar and table service, exclusive VIP restaurants, VIP food and drink delivery service, VIP shower and toilet access, spa and beauty treatments, and exclusive VIP viewing platforms around the festival arenas.  There is also a fully-stocked champagne, wine and cocktail bar and exclusive secret performances. All this for £305 for a weekend ticket!

The festival takes place on the 4th - 6th of August and is taking place at Hadrian's Wall just past Heddon-on-the-Wall, only 12 miles away from Newcastle's City Centre.

Adult tickets with camping start from £189 adding a child on is only £5.25. You can just get day tickets and stay in a hotel near by - if like me camping really isn't your thing! You can get all tickets information here

So yeah, as you can tell I'm pretty excited. I've already been working out what I'm going to wear while I'm there. Any festival fashion ideas, please let me know.

All we need now is the Great English weather to take part and ensure we have a weekend of sun!

Don't forget your sun cream!
