Blurred Memories From Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia was a change over day onboard the ship, this is where some passengers get off and new ones get on. This meant that all the stay were working over time to ensure the ship was ready for the new arrivals.

The view from our balcony was slightly cloudy - this is pretty normal in the Caribbean but as the day goes on the sun shine usually breaks through.

As the ship seemed pretty busy we decided to get off and go for a little wonder with the plan that Mam and I would head to the beach on the afternoon if the clouds disappeared.

We had lunch in the port and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten.

We sat and chattered in the shade before we agreed the clouds might never leave so took a short taxi ride to the beach.

Of course no trip to the beach is complete with out some ice cream.

And a bottle of Ting - the finest drink to come from the Caribbean.

We only had a few hours at the beach before our taxi came back to pick us up and take us back to the ship.

Well he took us back to the port the ship is where I should have headed but my sister was at Nicole's Karaoke bar and ask if Mam and I would like to join her. As I'm typing this I'm actually rolling my eyes.I remember going but I do not remember leaving.

I drank vodka and coke which might as well have been rocket fuel.

It felt like the whole of Britannia was there - including the crew. From what I remember we had a brilliant night.

The next day we were at sea and we sailed right past the Pitons of Saint Lucia.

An amazing view to nurse a hangover to.
