My Week In Training #24 - Great North Run

I have been exhausted this week!! Like to the point where I've just needed to sleep if I wasn't at work and this 'week in training' really shows that. 

Monday 15/8 

Rest day. 

Tuesday 16/8 

Rest day. 

Wednesday 17/8 

Rest day. 

Thursday 18/8 

10 miles. So after a long time no run my friend organised a run along the lines. I really enjoyed this run. Despite the fact my left knee decided to hurt towards the 7 mile mark. 
Friday 19/8

Rest day. 

Saturday 20/8 

I went for a PT session at my gym and was given a lot of moves to help strength my legs. I actually got taught how to use some free weights which I've never done before and was really exciting for me. 
Afterwards I went to the driving range with my Dad and hit 50 golf balls. It's been a long time since I swung a club and was really happy that I still could. I'm going to try and practice a little more. 

Sunday 21/1 

In a bid to get an extra run in I went down to the Ray Harrison 10k memorial run. It's the last race I'll be in before the GNR. I had a really good time on the 6.2 mile course.
