Gusto - New Autumn Menu

It's no secret that Gusto is one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle.

I met up with Chloe from New Girl in Toon to try the new additions to Gustos new menu.

As always I convinced Chloe to start with bread and olives. My absolute favourite.

We browsed the menu while drinking m/cocktails. Moctails in Gusto are called Bambinos. I feel that is an important bit of information to stop any confusion about anyone thinking anyone is pregnant.

For starters Chloe ordered the cauliflower soup, which I know she throughly enjoyed and I got food envy.

Although my starter was delicious  Calamari with lemon mayonnaise with an extra wedge of lemon for drizzling.

For main course we went all autumny, Chloe ordered mac and cheese. I'm really not a fan (at all) of mac and cheese but I was told it was delicious.

I ordered something I really wouldn't usually order. I love pizza, butternut, flaked almonds and sage, but I've never had them all at the same time.

Well guess what, that is exactly what I got.

And we washed it down with more cocktails (a Bambino for me I had the car).

The service in Gusto is fantastic, all the staff are so friendly and can't do enough to help to ensure your night is perfect which (along with the amazing food) is why the I love Gusto so much.

I feel like you know me enough now that you know fine well I had desert.

Warm chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream and chocolate sauce. A little change from my usual nutella and mascarpone calzone, pistachio is my all time favourite ice cream so I had to try it and it lived up to every expectation I had!!

^^^Oh so good and chocolaty.

I think Chloe picked a complete winner with her pudding. Banana and salted caramel meringue.

Basically I want to go back to Gusto for the cauliflower soup and the meringue pudding. I'm trying to convince R to take me on a date there!!

Gusto is on the Quayside (just behind Pitcher and Piano).

How beautiful is the quayside all lit up?

There's plenty on KJO about Gusto if this post has got your taste buds going!

Have you tried anything from Gusto's New Autumn menu?
