Sunday Lunch at The Townhouse Durham

Do you know what I realised a few Sunday's ago? That very few places in Durham city actually do a Sunday lunch.

I had an eye test at Vision express which I took my Mam along with me and told Ryan to meet me us after so we can go straight for lunch.

The only two places I could of was The Townhouse which I believe has recently changed ownership since I was last there and the Court inn which is more of a carvery.

So after a quick phone call to double check they can take us we headed over Elvet bridge.

Durham is beautiful when the sun is shinning.

The Townhouse Durham is also an hotel and has 11 boutique rooms which are all decorated beautifully. If you're coming to Durham for a little trip away defiantly worth looking at for somewhere to stay.

I completely love the décor all the way through the town house apart from the petrifying head when you walk in. On my first visit here I actually screamed with shock.

One to watch out for.

The hotel reception.

Which leads through to the restaurant.

After a quick browse at the menu we all opted for the Beef served pink.
The only gripe I would have about the dinner was the roast potatoes were hardly roasted at all. Which is my favourite bit of a Sunday dinner.

The vegetables came on the side with lots of gravy.

I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch at The Townhouse in Durham and as it's only one of two places in Durham that do Sunday lunch, I have no doubt I'll be back.
