It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas

Following on from Monday's long winded Christmas post and yesterday's Christmas jumpers. I thought I'd share with you what my house will be smelling like in the next few weeks.

The easiest way to get me into the Christmas spirit is the smell of Christmas.

If I was to describe what it smelt like it would be this 'Smells like Christmas ' candle. It has an incredibly strong scent of vanilla, caramel and jasmine. I picked up in Tesco's a few weeks ago. At £4 I wish I had picked up a few more.

At this point in the blog I would like to think you already know I love Jo Malone so of course they'd be one in a Christmas candle post. Pine & Eucalyptus. At £40 it's on the luxury end of the spectrum. I'll be burning this in my living room as it smells like a Christmas tree it tricks my mind into thinking my artificial one might be real.

Christmas eve is actually my favourite day of the year. It's the day everyone is most excited and this candle takes me back to being a child again as my Mam used to burn this during December. So it really wouldn't be Christmas without this Yankee Candle. It's a fruity smell that just takes me to a happy place. Medium jar £16.99.

Don't get me wrong I love a candle but they are a little bit of a fire hazard. A diffusers that can be left all day and when you get home from work you are instantly hit with a warm Christmas scent.

Airwick I find are good value for money and regularly on offer in the supermarket. This mulled wine and cinnamon apple is available all year around but to me it's a Christmas smell. This has a very strong cinnamon smell that I usually put in my downstairs bathroom.

It's never to early to get in the Christmas spirit. (Unless it's before bonfire night. That's too early in my opinion.)

What makes you get in the Christmas spirit?

  1. I absolutely love Jo Malone candles, ah nothing better (annoyingly as they are so pricey nowadays!)
